MBHS Weekly Update - Week of 9/4

Greeting MB Families!

• School will be closed Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day.

• Wednesday, September 6th is a late start day.  The first bell rings at 10:08.

• LCFF - Each year, we ask you to complete the LCFF form for each student in your household. This quick 2 question survey has a critical impact on support and services offered here on campus and in our district. 

The completion of this form helps determine the State and Federal funding that schools receive. 

There are 2 different ways to fill this information out this year: 

• Log in to your Parent Portal to complete the form online. If you need assistance with your Parent Portal, please contact [email protected] 

• LCFF Survey - you may also receive an email from the district asking you to complete this form.  You can also use the survey link from their email to complete the 2 question form. 

• Photo Makeup Day is Thurs, Sept 7th - students that did not take a photo during orientation will receive a pass to get their photo taken.

• MBHS College Planning: Seniors and Families - Please join MBHS Counselors on Wednesday, September 20, 6 - 7:30pm to review your college planning needs! We will be sharing information about applications, timelines, resources, and more.  A zoom link will be shared before the event.

• How Decisions Are Made: Calling all grade levels - students and families. Please join us for an evening program on Zoom, Wednesday, September 27 at 6pm. In partnership with a local college admissions rep, you will learn how a college determines if a student is a good fit and their evaluation process. Every university does things differently to meet the needs of their students. A zoom link will be shared before the event.

• As you enjoy Labor Day weekend with your families, we are proud to announce that our ACES tutoring program will be open and available for your student beginning this Tuesday September 5th with access to helpful resources and teachers across all subject areas. ACES tutoring is open in the library every Monday through Friday before school from 7:30 - 8:30 and every Monday through Thursday after school from 3:30 - 5:00. Please refer to our ACES tutoring calendar linked in the weekly bulletin so you and your student can best take advantage of this opportunity.
