MBHS Weekly Update - Week of 9/18

Greeting MB Families!

• LCFF - Each year, we ask you to complete the LCFF form for each student in your household. This quick 2 question survey has a critical impact on support and services offered here on campus and in our district. 

The completion of this form helps determine the State and Federal funding that schools receive. 

There are 2 different ways to fill this information out this year: 

• Log in to your Parent Portal to complete the form online. If you need assistance with your Parent Portal, please contact [email protected] 

• LCFF Survey - you may also receive an email from the district asking you to complete this form.  You can also use the survey link from their email to complete the 2 question form. 

• ACES Tutoring Take advantage of free tutoring services at Mission Bay High before and after school. Our ACES Tutoring Program offers students access to teachers across all subject areas and is open in the library in the morning from 7:30 - 8:30 and in the afternoon from 3:30 - 5:00. • MBHS College Planning: Seniors and Families - Please join MBHS Counselors on Wednesday, September 20, 6-7:30pm on Zoom to go over your college planning needs! We will be sharing information about applications, timelines, resources, and more. See Flyer for Zoom login information.

• How Decisions Are Made Save the Date: Calling all grade levels - students and families. Please join us for an evening program on Zoom, Wednesday, September 27 at 6pm. In partnership with a local college admissions rep, you will learn how a college determines if a student is a good fit and their evaluation process. Every university does things differently to meet the needs of their students.         

• IB Information Night Thurs Sept 21st via Zoom - Come learn more about the benefits, requirements and suggested course sequencing for an IB Diploma. For more information, please contact Ms. Tracy Borg ([email protected])
