General Announcements

  •  Monday, Jan 17th - NO SCHOOL, Tuesday, Jan 18th is a B Day
  • Minimum Days for FINALS - January 20th B Day & January 21st A Day

  • Check Powerschool - Check your Semester 1 grades and preview your Semester 2 schedule.  Report cards will not be mailed out by the district. Semester 1 final grades will be viewable Fri, Jan 28th. If you need to make a change for Semester 2, contact your counselor before Wed, Jan 19th
  • Check out the great work being done by some of our very creative students on Ms. Henke's Art Blog
  • The school campus opens at 8AM - students are not permitted on campus before 8AM. 
  • Track and Field Team Meeting - New and returning athletes interested in participating in MBHS Track and Field please join us for details regarding our upcoming season. Tuesday,  January 25th. 7:00PM. Meeting ID: 723 2947 1226 Passcode: MBBUCS
  • Boys Lacrosse Meeting on Wednesday, January 19th at 1:30 during lunch on the grass field in athletics with Mr. Whittenberg. Come on by to hear about one of the fastest growing sports in America. If you are looking to compete and challenge yourself with a fun and exciting sport, come find out more information. The season officially starts February 14th. See Mr. Whittenberg if you can't make it but are still interested!
  •  Winter Sports - Please check the Athletics Website for upcoming events and follow @mbbuccaneers on Instagram for updates. Due to covid, many games have been cancelled or post-poned so please check in with coaches if you have questions. 
  • Leaving Early? Avoid Saturday School! If you are leaving campus early, you must have a blue pass. Have your parent/guardian contact the attendance office at least one hour in advance so a pass may be delivered to you.  Leaving campus without a blue pass will result in a truancy and Saturday School.  Your parent/guardian may not call to clear the absence after you have left.
  • ACES Afterschool Tutoring - We are proud to announce that ACES tutoring now offers support in Spanish every Tuesday at 3:30 in the library with Mr. Sanchez! 


ASB Announcements

  • Winter Sports Spirit Week Jan 31-Feb 4: Let's celebrate our Winter Sports team with a Spirit Week, Virtual Pep Rally and lunchtime activities!

    Monday, Jan 31: Anything But a Backpack (just like it sounds- leave your backpacks at home and carry your books in ANYTHING else)

    Tuesday, Feb 1: Adam Sandler Day (need inspiration? Google images and Adam Sandler and it's pretty obvious what to wear)

    Wednesday, Feb 2: Wacky Wednesday (channel those elementary school Red Ribbon Week vibes!!! Crazy hair, mismatch clothes, tutus and other wacky accessories. Be creative and have fun)

    Thursday, Feb 3: Family Day Class Wars!!!

    Seniors: Senior Citizens

    Juniors: Mid-life Crisis/Middle Aged

    Sophomores: Elementary School Kid

    Freshmen: Babies 

    Staff: Dress like your students

    **Come to the Weedpatch during the 1st 10 min of lunch to get counted and help your class earn a $100 prize from ASB!!!

    Friday, Feb 4: Buc/Pirate Day (dress like a Buccaneer- eye patches, eye makeup, pirate hats, boots, parrot on shoulder...)

  •  Black Student Union: Join the Black Student Union (BSU) every Wednesday in room 332. We are planning Black History Month activities, including two field trips for members! We hope to see you this week. 


Counseling Announcements

  • Students - If you need to see your counselor for a Semester 2 schedule change, please check in before Wednesday, January 19! 
  • 2022-23 course planning has begun! All students will have in-person planning with their school counselor or Ms. Borg between Jan 27-Feb 17 during classes.  


Senior Announcements

  • Yearbook Seniors - If you reserved a spot for Senior Selfies & Quotes or if have sent a Selfie but no quote or vice versa, the final deadline for both is Wednesday, January 19th. 
  • GRAD NIGHT - Please read the details in the the Announcement Flyer and be sure to get your Consent Form completed. Organizers will be on campus every Friday to collect your forms/payments. Grad Night is not a school-sponsored event.  This info has also been posted on the Senior Activities page  
  • Senior Canvas class - check for updates


Tell Your Parents 

  • Report cards will not be mailed by the school district. Please check Powerschool on Jan 28th for your student's final Semester 1 grades. You can also print a transcript from your Parent Portal. If you need assistance with Parent Portal, please email agriffin@sandi.net
  • The next Principal's Coffee is scheduled for Jan 28th.
