MBHS Weekly Update - Week of 4/4

Hello Mission Bay Families!

Here are some important announcements from Mission Bay High School.  We have many important announcements, please read the entire communication.

• Welcome Back!  We hope you had a great break with family and friends. School resumes on Monday, April 4th.  Monday is an “A” day.  While students and staff are still encouraged to wear masks at school, mask wearing is no longer mandated.

• Annual state testing will begin on April 11th and continue through June.  Students in grade 11 will take assessments in math and English.  Students in grade 12 will take an assessment in science.  Students in grades 9 and 10 do not test. More detailed information will be sent at a later date to families of students in grade 11 and 12.

• School Site Council (SSC) will meet on Thursday, April 7th at 7:30 am via zoom.  All are welcome to attend. Zoom code: 838 9262 4693

• The next Saturday School will be on Saturday, April 9th from 9 - 1.  Students need to sign up in advance for a seat.  Seniors need to be in good standing with attendance to participate in senior activities (prom, senior brunch/activity, graduation ceremony).  To sign up, go to: SATURDAY SCHOOL Registration Form 

• On site COVID Testing:  Testing is now done through Responsive Lab Partners.  Testing is only for Mission Bay students and staff. Testing on-site is done on Thursdays. You will need to register with Primary Health Portal in order to be tested. The link to do that is here:

Appointments are not needed.  Students should report to the Counseling Conference Room between the hours of 9am - 4pm to test on Thursdays

• Please access your Parent Portal to check your students grades, complete annual forms, and/or update contact information. You can print transcripts, email teachers and check attendance through your Parent Portal.  If you do not have a Parent Portal, please contact [email protected] for assistance.

• Attendance Update: We have simplified the attendance procedure for families - please visit our Attendance page. You can now email [email protected].

• Per district guidance, parent access to the campus is limited at this time.  Please do not come to campus unless pre-arranged with administration.
