General Announcements

  • LATE BREAKING: Testing Postponed again due to technical issues.  11th Grade students that received passes for testing this week should plan to attend classes as normal. More information will be shared when testing has been rescheduled. Thank you for your patience. 
  • Progress Reports (P4) - Term ends on Friday, April 22nd.  Be sure that you have checked Canvas classes, Powerschool and/or in with your teacher to ensure that all work is completed and graded. Please attend ACES afterschool Mon-Thurs for support in all subject areas.  
  • ACES - Math and Science Tutors are back at ACES on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the library from 3:30 - 5:00! The university tutors are amazing and can help with all levels of Math and Science. See latest schedule
  • Join the Creek to Bay clean up Saturday April 23rd at 9am in the Mission Bay High School staff parking lot.  Go to I Love  Clean San Diego to get more information and join EcoClub and the rest of the team!
  • Office Staff Updates - If you have an inquiry about Transportation or Enrollment, please visit Ms. Mercedes Afenir in the Counseling office or email her at [email protected]. 
  • Yearbook - The 2022 Yearbook is now sold out.  If you would like to put your name on a waiting list in the event any copies become available, you can do so in room 342.
  • Yearbook Distribution Event - Our yearbook distribution event is planned for Wednesday, June 1 during Period 3 (11th & 12th graders) and Period 4 (9th & 10th graders). This will be a memorable time for us to come together and sign each other's yearbooks. Only yearbook purchasers will receive a pass to this event.
  • Masks - Masks are optional however they are required when in the Health Office or when testing in the COVID testing room on Thursdays. Masks will be available in the office at anytime.  
  • Free Prom Dress from the Princess Project - Book an appt online, multiple locations to choose from - see flyer in English or Spanish for more info. 
  • Save the Date - Soldance Film Festival Thursday, June 2nd, 6PM in the Auditorium. The IB Film students are excited to share their work! 

 

 

ASB Announcements

 

SPRING PEP RALLY and SPIRIT WEEK!!! Our Spring Sports Pep Rally and Spirit Week is coming up! We will celebrate our Spring Sports season on Friday, April 22 at 12:35pm in the stadium. Come cheer on your favorite sports team, hear from the class officer candidates and see if the students can beat the teachers in a students vs teachers game of musical chairs. 

 

Help us build spirit all week with a Spring Spirit Week!

Monday 4/18- Monochromatic Monday (dress in all one color or shades of the same color)

Tuesday 4/19- Black Tie/Dress to Impress 

Wednesday 4/20- Country versus Country Club 

Thursday 4/21- Celebrity Day (dress like your favorite famous person)

Friday 4/22- Class Color Wars (Seniors: white; Juniors: black; Sophomores: gray; Freshmen: yellow/gold)

 

Class Officer Campaign Week:

This week is campaign week for class officers. Be sure to vote on Friday for your class President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. These students will plan all class fundraisers, homecoming half time show and more!

ASB is hosting a Spring Dance on April 30 from 7-10pm. We will have a number of activities (lazer tag, video game truck, and outdoor party games), desserts, photobooth and DJ. Tickets will be on sale everyday at lunch outside the Gear Shop. You will need a Dance Contract to buy a ticket (available in the ASB room or on the school website). Tickets are $25 with an ASB card and $30 without. Price will go up to $35 the week of the dance regardless of ASB card status so buy your tickets now. https://missionbay.sandiegounified.org/students/asb/asb_dance_contract

  • 9-11th Students: Please check your Counseling Canvas Announcements about upcoming college fairs, early college planning (11th grade), and free summer AP courses!

  • 12th Students: Please check your Counseling Canvas Announcements for the Cal SOAP college planning reminders! 

Senior Announcements

  • Senior Prom will be held at The Prado. Ticket prices are $85 and we will start selling tickets soon! 
  • Are you able to participate in Senior Activities?  Make sure that you are eligible - check your attendance and attend Saturday School if needed.  Please check the Senior Activities regularly for updates.  
  • Name Check - Diplomas will be printed with your name as it appears in Powerschool First, Middle and Last.  Please check Powerschool to confirm that your name is accurate.  Please see the Registrar, Ms. Gil, if you have a change or correction.  
  • Senior Canvas class - check for updates

  • Save the Date for the next Principal's Coffee, Friday, April 29th at 9am.
