Welcome Back MB Families!

  • Welcome Back!  It’s great to have students and staff back on campus for a great start to the 2022-2023 school year. Please note, Monday, September 5th is Labor Day and school will be closed.

  • Starting Tuesday, September 6th, ACES tutoring is back at the Bay! We are excited to announce that we are now offering ACES tutoring before school and will be available in the library starting at 7:30 am every day.  Student coming to campus for ACES before school they are expected to stay in the library and work on assignments with the support of MBHS teachers.  Students can only enter at the staff lot by Rose Creek where a staff member will greet them at 7:30.

         After school, we will still be available from 3:30-5:00, Monday - Thursday in the library with MBHS teachers as well as university tutors across all           subject areas. We can verify your student's attendance at ACES if necessary. If you have any questions contact [email protected]

  • MBHS’s Governance/Buc Leadership Team, will have it’s first meeting September 7th at 7:30 am in room 111.  The meeting will be followed by our first School Site Council (SSC) meeting from 8:00 - 8:30 am .  Please join us to learn more about these groups and membership opportunities.  These meetings are open to the public.

 

  • FOPBSS will be meeting on Wednesday, 9/14 at 6:00pm in the MBHS Library.  Friends of Pacific Beach Secondary Schools (FOPBSS) is a joint Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation for both Pacific Beach Middle School and Mission Bay High School. The FOPBSS Board of Directors consists of teachers, principals and parents from both schools.

 

  • Thursday, September 15th is Open House, starting at 6:00pm.  Meet your students teachers and get information about the courses and curriculum at MBHS.  More details to come.  

 

  • IB Information Night - Please join IB Coordinator Tracy Borg in the library at 5:00pm on September 15th before Open House if you would like to learn more about the benefits and requirements of our International Baccalaureate Diploma program.  All grade levels are welcome.
