General Announcements

  • Annual state testing will begin on April 11th and continue through June.  Students in grade 11 will take assessments in math and English.  Students in grade 12 will take an assessment in science.  Students in grades 9 and 10 do not test. More detailed information will be sent at a later date to families of students in grade 11 and 12.
  • The next Saturday School is April 9th. Seats are limited so register early to attend if needed. See the Saturday  School Registration page of the school website.
  • Yearbook Distribution Event - Our yearbook distribution event is planned for Wednesday, June 1 during Period 3 (11th & 12th graders) and Period 4 (9th & 10th graders). This will be a memorable time for us to come together and sign each other's yearbooks. Only yearbook purchasers will receive a pass to this event. We have only 25 copies left before a complete sellout so reserve yours now at Jostens.com or with $80 cash or check payable to MBHS. 
  • Masks - Masks will be optional except they are required in the Health Office at all times and in the COVID testing room on testing days. Masks will be available in the office at anytime.  
  • Free Prom Dress from the Princess Project - Book an appt online, multiple locations to choose from - see flyer in English or Spanish for more info. 
  • ACES offers tutoring in all subjects on Monday through Thursday in the library from 3:30 - 5:00. We have specialized university tutoring in Math and Science on Mondays and Wednesdays, and support in Spanish on Tuesday and Thursdays.

ASB Announcements

 

ASB Officer and Commissioner Applications are THIS FRIDAY!!!

This week is ASB Officer and Commissioner Campaign Week and Elections will be on Friday, April 8 via this Google Form:  https://forms.gle/Sak1YsW6bTaFS5qD6. The ballot will open at 8:45am and close at 3:45pm on election day. 

ASB Officers and Commissioners represent the student body at Mission Bay High School and plan all the activities on campus so your vote is super important! You may see each candidate's campaign video on Buc TV and their campaign speeches will be sent to teachers on Election Day and will be linked in the ballot.

ASB is hosting a Spring Dance on April 30 from 7-10pm. We will have a number of activities (lazer tag, video game truck, and outdoor party games), desserts, photobooth and DJ. Tickets will go on sale this Wed outside the Gear Shop. You will need a Dance Contract to buy a ticket (available in the ASB room or on the school website). Tickets are $25 with an ASB card and $30 without. Counseling Announcements

  • Please check out the latest edition of the Counseling Newsletter for job postings, volunteer opportunities, college fairs and more. 
  • If you and your family missed the College Planning presentation before Spring Break, you can view the slides and resources in the Counseling section of the school website. 

 

Senior Announcements

  • Senior Prom will be held at The Prado. Ticket prices are $85 and we will start selling tickets soon! 
  • Are you able to participate in Senior Activities?  Make sure that you are eligible - check your attendance and attend Saturday School if needed.  Please check the Senior Activities regularly for updates.  
  • Name Check - Diplomas will be printed with your name as it appears in Powerschool First, Middle and Last.  Please check Powerschool to confirm that your name is accurate.  Please see the Registrar, Ms. Gil, if you have a change or correction.  
  • Seniors who purchased parking spots, please make sure your permits are displayed.  
  • Senior Canvas class - check for updates
