News from the Nurse
-
Students must wear Masks on campus - no gators, face shields with out masks, and no bandannas at school. Only cloth face masks or surgical masks are allowed. All students must sign up for clear pass and complete that daily before entering campus.
-
Any student with fever with or without chills/rigors, temperature greater than 100.0 (that does not resolve within 30 minutes) with out medication, cough, shortness of breath, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, new loss of taste/ smell, headache, muscle or body aches, and loss of appetite must stay home and not come to MBHS for school or work. The district policy is that if you have any of these symptoms that you will isolate for 10 days and return on the 11th day or have a rapid PCR COVID test done and return 24 hours after symptoms stop. There is no other way to determine if the symptoms are from COVID. Unless it is a chronic condition on file and symptom related. There are no exceptions. Chronic conditions that are pre-existing are determined on a case to case basis. Example: student had a headache from staying up too late with no history of migraines and no documentation of migraines on file. This student must isolate or obtain a rapid PCR COVID test to return to school. If the nurse is aware of the pre-existing condition then the form is not needed. Please have this form completed by your doctor if you have chronic conditions and symptoms that are listed above. Otherwise to return quickly you must have a rapid PCR COVID test and self isolate until 24 hours after your symptoms stop. Our school district policies are aimed at keeping MBHS students and staff safe. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at mjones6@sandi.net.
- Know your COVID status, stop the spread, help open Mission Bay safely. Click here for the latest information about free Covid Testing available at Mission Bay High. Effective April 12th Testing will be available every Monday.
