General Announcements 

Welcome

  • Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year! We are so glad you are here and look forward to an amazing year ahead!
  • Quick links are on the homepage of the school website to Campus Map, Bell Schedule, A|B Day Calendar
  • First Day of School - Students will report to the Weed Patch upon
    arrival to school. Once in the Weed Patch, report to the alpha station that corresponds with the first letter of your last name. Staff will begin distributing schedules at 8:20 am Report to your Period 1 class at 8:45 am
  • A Few Reminders:
    • Bring your fully-charged laptop, charger, headphones and a water bottle
    • Masks must be worn at all times on campus. No bandanas and no gators
    • Stay home if you are sick
    • Be organized – keep an agenda, calendar, or “To Do” list.
    • Ask questions - don’t be afraid to ask for help – the staff is
      here to assist you
    • We encourage you to become involved in a sport or club and if you need help, use our ACES after school tutoring which will be starting soon! 
  • Labor Day Weekend - School will be closed Monday, September 6th

  • ATHLETICS - Please check the Athletics Website for upcoming games and follow @mbbuccaneers on Instagram for updates.
  • Calling all artists or anyone interested in joining art club! No experience necessary! Please stop by room #232 for information and keep your eyes open for fliers and announcements as we decide on meeting days/times! If you were a prior art student and never claimed your work that was left during the shut down please stop by as soon as possible. Henkes will store work until September 15th. WELCOME BACK!!!!
  • Starbucks is opening a new location on Mission and Garnet! If you’re interested in applying, please check out this flyer for more details.
  • Fall Photo Make-up Day is Friday, September 10th for any students that missed getting photos and ID cards during Orientation Week. 

      

ASB Announcements 

  • Freshman Class Elections: Attention Class of 2025!!! That’s you FRESHMEN! Your class needs you to run for office to begin planning class events and fundraising for prom and senior activities. If you are interested in running for Freshman Class President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer complete this Google Form https://forms.gle/y8sPcjrXkGFfdqwbA by Friday, Sept 3 at 11am. Read all the instructions in the description for campaign and elections activities and deadlines.

  •  Buc Café and Gear Shop: The Buc Café and Gear Shop are open every day at lunch. Come check out our new Nike Gear, buy PE clothes and accessories and pick up a snack or drink (located in the library courtyard).

  •  Homecoming Tickets:  Buy your Homecoming Tickets in the Gear Shop every Friday at lunch. Homecoming will be held at the Air and Space Museum in Balboa Park on Saturday, October 16. Tickets are $55 w/ and ASB Card and $55 w/out. Tickets include admission to the dance and museum as well as a dessert and beverage bar.

  •  ASB Cards: ASB Cards will be sold daily in the Gear Shop at lunch. ASB cards give you free entry into all home, regular season games, discounted dance tickets and exclusive card holder events throughout the school year.

  •  Join ASB: Are you interested in joining a super spirited and exciting leadership program at Mission Bay? ASB is now accepting applications to join! Apply at this link https://forms.gle/FJ36ouC5ufiK2AEk8 by Wedndesday, September 1 by 11am (late applications will not be accepted). Check your email for your interview time! Interviews will be held on Thursday, Sept 2 during p3/7 and lunch.

Tell Your Parents

  • Friends of PB Secondary Schools (FOPBSS) welcomes you to join our first meeting! Wednesday, September 8th 6:00PM at PB Middle School.  The meeting will be held in the PBMS Media Center, followed by a short tour of the new building on campus. The meeting will conclude at Iron Pig Ale House. We hope to see you there!  fopbss.org
