General Announcements

  • Usa Ribbon.pngPresident's Day Weekend - There will be no school this Friday (2/12) and next Monday 2/15) in honor of President's Day. 

  • Essay Contest - What does our American Community Ask of Us? 2021 9th Circuit Civics Contest.  See the flyer to learn more.

  • Sports Announcement! Boys and Girls Golf—Mandatory Zoom meeting on Monday, February 8 at 6:00 p.m. For more information, go to www.mbbuccaneers.com.

  • ACES Tutoring- ACES after-school tutoring on zoom is available every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 - 5:00, and there are teachers like Ms. Balestreri, Mr. Keast, Ms. Nellis, Mr. Lancia, and Ms. Romero to help with you with research and writing in any subject area, as well as College Apps. We also feature university tutoring in Science and Math. The zoom links are on Canvas and on the Mission Bay Website under Students>ACES Tutoring.

  • Yearbook Update We are finalizing our amazing 2021 Yearbook with our theme Living Through History, so if you are a 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grader and you have any photos or content you would like to submit please send them to mbhs.seniors2021@gmail.com. There are limited copies available and we are on our way to another sellout, so reserve your copy now at jostens.com.

  • BSU Black History Month Movies: Join BSU for TWO Black History Month movies in February! On Thurs, Feb 18 at 1pm we will be watching Selma and on Thurs, Feb 25 at 1pm we will watch Hidden Figures (both via Zoom).   •  Black History Month Facts of the Week - Feb 2021
    • Fact 1- Born from former slaves Madam C.J. Walker was the first U.S. woman to become a millionaire in 1910
    • Fact 2- Jack Johnson became the first African American man to hold the World Heavyweight Champion boxing title in 1908, which he held onto until 1915.
    • Fact 3- John Mercer Langston was the first black man to become a lawyer when he passed the bar in Ohio in 1854
