General Announcements

• Monday, Jan 24th is a B Day

• Semester 2 Schedule - Did you get your ticket? If you did not get your Lavender schedule last week, you can pick it up on the table in the weedpatch. 
• Semester 1 grades will be finalized by February 4th instead of January 28th. Please check Powerschool for final Semester 1 Grades on Friday, Feb 4th. 
•  Panda Express Fundraiser - Please support the Class of 2024 by enjoying Panda Express on Thursday, January 27 all day long! Pandaexpress.com or the app. Enter 332453 in the fundraiser code box. Flyer
• Yearbook - We have already sold 364 out of 400 available copies this year! Go to Jostens.com or to room 342 with $75 cash or check payable to 'MBHS' to reserve your copy now before we sell out! 

• Track and Field Team Meeting - New and returning athletes interested in participating in MBHS Track and Field please join us for details regarding our upcoming season. Tuesday,  January 25th. 7:00PM. Meeting ID: 723 2947 1226 Passcode: MBBUCS
• Winter Sports - Please check the Athletics Website for upcoming events and follow @mbbuccaneers on Instagram for updates. Due to covid, many games have been cancelled or post-poned so please check in with coaches if you have questions. 
• Pop-Up Vaccine/Booster Clinic will be here at MBHS Friday Feb 11th from 10AM to 2PM.  The clinic is open to community, staff, families and students. Appointments can be made via myturn.ca.gov Here is the flyer that includes link to consent form that your parent needs to complete. Don't forget to bring your vaccine card with you to your appointment. 
•  Reminder that our campus opens at 8AM - students are not permitted on campus before 8AM. 
• Leaving Early? Avoid Saturday School! If you are leaving campus early, you must have a blue pass. Have your parent/guardian contact the attendance office at least one hour in advance so a pass may be delivered to you.  Leaving campus without a blue pass will result in a truancy and Saturday School.  Your parent/guardian may not call to clear the absence after you have left.
• The next Saturday School is Feb 12th. Please plan accordingly.  Parents should contact missionbayattendance@sandi.net to clear any unexcused absences. 
• ACES Afterschool Tutoring - ACES now offers Spanish tutoring every Tuesday and Thursday along with support in all subjects Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00 in the library.   

ASB Announcements

• Winter Sports Spirit Week Jan 31-Feb 4: Let's celebrate our Winter Sports team with a Spirit Week, Virtual Pep Rally and lunchtime activities!

  Monday, Jan 31: Anything But a Backpack (just like it sounds- leave your backpacks at home and carry your books in ANYTHING else)

  Tuesday, Feb 1: Adam Sandler Day (need inspiration? Google images and Adam Sandler and it's pretty obvious what to wear)

  Wednesday, Feb 2: Wacky Wednesday (channel those elementary school Red Ribbon Week vibes!!! Crazy hair, mismatch clothes, tutus and other wacky accessories. Be creative and have fun)

  Thursday, Feb 3: Family Day Class Wars!!!

  Seniors: Senior Citizens

  Juniors: Mid-life Crisis/Middle Aged

  Sophomores: Elementary School Kid

  Freshmen: Babies 

  Staff: Dress like your students

  **Come to the Weedpatch during the 1st 10 min of lunch to get counted and help your class earn a $100 prize from ASB!!!

  Friday, Feb 4: Buc/Pirate Day (dress like a Buccaneer- eye patches, eye makeup, pirate hats, boots, parrot on shoulder...)

•  Black Student Union: Join the Black Student Union (BSU) every Wednesday in room 332. We are planning Black History Month activities, including two field trips for members! We hope to see you this week. 

Counseling Announcements

• 2022-23 course planning - All students will have in-person planning with their school counselor or Ms. Borg between Jan 27-Feb 17 during classes.  
  

Senior Announcements

• GRAD NIGHT - Please read the details in the the Announcement Flyer and be sure to get your Consent Form completed. Organizers will be on campus every Friday to collect your forms/payments. Grad Night is not a school-sponsored event.  This info has also been posted on the Senior Activities page  
• Senior Canvas class - check for updates

Tell Your Parents 

• Please check Powerschool on Friday, Feb 4th for your students' final Semester 1 grades. Reminder that report cards will not be mailed by the school district. You can print transcripts directly from Powerschool.  If you need assistance with Powerschool Parent Portal access, please contact agriffin@sandi.net. 
• The next Principal's Coffee is scheduled for Jan 28th.
