General Announcements

  • This Friday (10/16) is an A Day
  • ACES Virtual Tutoring is Now Available on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-5pm. The schedule and more information are online https://missionbay.sandiegounified.org/students/aces_tutoring
  • Progress Report Grades for Q1 classes are now available in Powerschool. There are just 3 more weeks left so please be diligent in completing and turning in work for credit.  Quarter 1 ends on 10/30/20.
  • National Honor Society - NHS is recruiting new members.  Interested students should read the selection procedures and complete the student activity form by November 2nd.  The form can be emailed to tborg@sandi.net. NHS Selection Procedure NHS Student Activity Form 
  • Looking for Buccaneer Gear?  You can shop online
  • Planning to play Fall Sports? The athletic clearance website is now open and available at www.athleticclearance.com. All students planning on trying out for 2020-21 sports must be cleared before they are allowed to try out.  In order to be cleared, please complete the athletic clearance profile and upload a completed sports physical form to the profile. You can find the 2020-21 sports physical form here: Sports Physical 2020-21. Sports physicals completed after June 1, 2020 are valid for the 2020-21 school year.   • LGBTQ History Month Facts of the Week:

1. October 14 was the first National March on Washington for LGBTQ Rights.
2. Same-sex marriage has only been legal in all of the USA for five years, which is less than half of most of our lives.
3. As of today, trans people still aren’t allowed to serve in the military. That’s why it’s so important to use your voice and stand up for what’s right

Tell Your Parents

  • If you did not complete the Annual Enrollment Forms by the October 9th deadline we still need you to do so. You may access the forms at 2020-2021 Annual Enrollment Forms and Information:  Keep in mind, these forms are in place of the start of the year reenrollment packet normally sent home with students. If you have questions, please email gfernandez1@sandi.net.
  • Progress Reports are now final in Powerschool.  There are just 3 weeks left in Quarter 1.  The term ends on October 30th.
  • Save the Date - Open House for Quarter 2 classes will be held virtually on Thursday, November 12th at 6:00PM. 
  • If you do not have a Parent Portal account set up, please contact Andrea Griffin to request information. 
  • The 2021-2022 School Year Choice Enrollment window opens today, Mon 10/5, for families wishing to come to Mission Bay High School but do not reside within the neighborhood boundary.  Current students do not need to re-apply, they will automatically be enrolled next year.  Applications are being accepted from 10/5 - 11/16.  For more information, visit Enrollment Options.  
  • School Tours for Prospective Families are being held virtually on Oct 15th and Oct 29th at 9:00AM. More information
  • Parents/Students: The MBHS Counselors are happy to bring you another evening program this Wednesday at 6pm: "Building a College List." This virtual event will cover all the considerations you will make as you decide on which colleges are the best fit for you.
