General Announcements

  •  Monday, Oct 25th is a B Day

  • Attention School Bus Riders – The bus drivers will start to enforce the use of a Zpass starting next Monday, Nov 1st. If you ride the bus but do not have a Zpass please stop by the office this week.
  • ANIME CLUB will be watching Fire Force after school this Friday. Come to room 227 to join!
  • Drama Club Pie Face Fundraiser-The Drama Club will be hosting its Pie-Face Fundraiser on November 5th in the weedpatch at lunch. Any more faculty and teachers interested in supporting the Drama Club and who are willing to get pied in the face, email the president at alessandraalluin@gmail.com. Each teacher has a goal of $10 to get raised, meaning once they reach $10 they will officially be getting pied in the face. You can donate as much as you want to see a teacher pied in the face but for a chance to do it yourself, a ticket is $1. Students can buy a ticket to pie a teacher in the face on A days during lunch and after school this week and next week. All the funds go to financing the Drama Club's production of THE CRUCIBLE.
  • Interested in girls water polo? Please come to Mrs. Campbell’s room 353 on  Wednesday 10/27 @ lunch for a mandatory meeting. 
  • Tryouts for boys soccer is Monday Nov. 8 at 3:30PM. Anyone that is interested please make sure you have done everything necessary for athletic clearance (ie athletic packet, insurance and physical) before coming to tryouts.
  • Class of 2024 Fundraiser at Chipotle on Garnet Nov 10th.  Please come out to enjoy Chipotle on Wednesday, November 10th to support the class of 2024!  Dine from 4-8 pm and use code W4TWHVH to order online for pickup.  Go Bucs!
  • YEARBOOK If you and your Sibling want to be featured on the Siblings page in the 2022 yearbook, Please let us know in an email to jakaylaharris24@gmail.com and we will come take your photo!
  •  ACES Afterschool Tutoring  Are you looking to boost your P1 grades or work on a Writing assignment that is coming up? Do you need help with any subject including Math or Science?  ACES tutoring is available from 3:30 to 5:00 every Monday through Thursday in the Library. Hope to see you there!
  • Black Student Union (BSU) will be meeting outside room 332 at lunch every Wednesday. All are welcome!
  •  Wellness Club is now meeting on Fridays at lunch. Please join our Remind for more details by texting 81010 the message @mbhsw

  • Mini-Spirit Week: Let's end October celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness, LGBTQIA+ History Month and Halloween with a Mini-Spirit Week!!!
    Wednesday, Oct 27: On Wednesdays We Wear Pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness
    Thursday, Oct 28:
    Rainbow Day to celebrate LGBTQIA+ History Month and show your support for an inclusive MBHS
    Friday, Oct 29:
    Wear Halloween Costumes! Remember these costume guidelines...
    •Full face masks/full face painted are not allowed – students must wear mask that covers mouth and nose (per COVID protocols);
    •Weapons, fake or real, are not allowed. 
    •Culture is not a costume.  Often times, costumes that depict a culture are demeaning, disrespectful and perpetuate stereotypes. If any student wears an outfit that portrays a culture, students will be asked to changed.
  •  Trick or Treat Time!!!: It's time for our first ASB Card Holder Appreciation Event! If you have an ASB card, bring it on Friday and stop at various locations around school to Trick or Treat at lunch. Locations will be posted on signs throughout school, in the ASB room and on Instagram @mb_bucs.

Senior Announcements

  • Every senior must log on to the Jostens website and choose to borrow or buy your cap and gown.  The link can be found in the senior section under students on the Mission Bay webpage. If this is not done then you will not a cap and gown for graduation.  
  • SENIOR SECTION IN YEARBOOK - Seniors, you have the opportunity to be included in the senior section of the 2022 yearbook! It’s time send in your Baby Buc, which is a favorite baby or childhood picture! Also, we are collecting Senior Selfies along with a memorable Senior Quote! Make sure that the content is appropriate, or unfortunately it cannot be included in the yearbook. You can send all this information to  mbhs2022seniors@gmail.com. The deadline is November 19, 2021. 
  •  College App Open Labs - Every Wednesday this month in the library computer lab at lunch!

  • Senior Parents - You senior has the opportunity to be included in the senior section of the 2022 yearbook!   • The next Principal's Coffee will be hosted on Friday, Oct 29th at 9am. Details will be emailed out by Ms. Leszynski in her weekly update or posted in the MBHS News.
  • Attendance Update: We have simplified the attendance procedure for families - please visit our Attendance page. You can now email missionbayattendance@sandi.net. If you need to have your student leave early, please notify the office in the morning via email or call at least 1 hour in advance. 
  • The priority Choice application period for the 2022-2023 school year will run Monday, October 4, 2021 through Monday, November 15, 2021. Applications may be submitted after November 15th but will be processed in time/date order of receipt. 
  • Many studies support a link between student participation and academic achievement. We encourage all students to participate in extra-curricular activities like Sports and Clubs.  Mission Bay High offers a wide variety of clubs and we are approaching the beginning of the Winter Sport season.
