General Announcements

  • This week, Friday 10/2 is an A Day
  • Q1 Progress Reports – Term Ends this Friday
    Check Powerschool, Canvas, and/or Google Classroom to ensure you have turned in all assignments – the mid-term Progress Report ends this Friday 10/2.  For each Quarter, you will have one mid-term progress report.  Progress Reports will not be printed this year. You can find your final grade in Powerschool the following Friday (10/9).   
  • Want to participate in Mock Trial? Mock Trial meets every Monday at 1:30. Email nsheehy@sandi.net for the zoom code.
  • Academic League - Are you a 9th grader? Those that are interested in Academic League, please email nsheehy@sandi.net for more information.
  • Freshman Class of 2024!   Do you want to be in the video for the virtual Homecoming!  We need ideas, participants, and editors for this video and events to come!  Come to the zoom meeting on Wednesday 10/1 at 2:30PM:  https://sandiegounified.zoom.us/j/81083361697.  Contact nsheehy@sandi.net or kauer@sandi.net for the password.
  • Key Club - Calling all hippos please join us for the first Key Club Meeting of the year. This Friday, October 2nd at 1:00PM via Zoom, the meeting ID is 86831481538
  • Join GSA (Gender and Sexualities Alliance) for our first club meeting of the school year. We will be meeting every Tuesday at 1pm via Zoom starting Oct 6. Check the clubs page on the school website or the GSA Instagram @missiongay for the zoom link.
  • Textbooks or Materials - Please complete this form to request an appointment to return, exchange or pickup textbooks or materials from the library. 
  • Jobs –  If you have a job and need a work permit, please use the new San Diego Unified School District's Work Permit website you can paste into your browser bar: https://www.sandiegounified.org/academics/work_permits/work_permit_home

  • Virtual Homecoming Court Nominations
    Virtual Homecoming will be on Friday, Oct 9! It's time to nominate your Virtual Homecoming Court candidates. Click this link https://forms.gle/izs1waRyi79vWEVJA to nominate up to 6 members of YOUR CLASS for Homecoming Court. Virtual Homecoming Court Candidates will be announced on Buc TV on Monday, Oct 5. The Election for Virtual Homecoming Court will be on Wednesday, Oct 7 and winners will be "crowned" during our Virtual Homecoming Celebration. 
  • Virtual Homecoming Class Competition
    Class Officers and Advisors!!! Virtual Homecoming is fast approaching. Our Commissioners of Spirit and Activities have sent you information about our Virtual Homecoming Class Competition. Please meet with your class officers and schedule a class meeting to come up with ideas for your Virtual Homecoming Class Video. The theme is MASK-ARADE! Videos are due Wed, Oct 7 and should be sent as an imovie directly from your camera roll to Julia Fulton.

  • Seniors and Families! It's College and Career Planning Season... Counselors will continue working with seniors. Stay tuned for announcements and emails to start getting connected to resources and info!

Tell Your Parents

  • You can now update email addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts and other student record information directly through the Parent Portal.  Log in and select Update Your Information
  • Report Cards and Progress Reports will not be mailed this year.  To see student grades for Quarter 1 Progress Reports, available on 10/9, log in to your Parent Portal account.  
  • If you do not have a Parent Portal account set up, please contact Andrea Griffin to request information.
