Welcome Future Bucs! Tips for Class of 2030

Here are some tips and resources to help you be successful as an incoming Buccaneer.

Freshman Orientation for 2026-2027 - Thursday, July 30th  9AM - 3PM

Please arrive promptly for orientation activities (9am-1pm). After orientation, students will visit each registration station. Once they have visited all the stations, they are free to leave. Parents are invited to attend a brief New Parent meeting from 9AM-10AM in the auditorium.

First day of School - Monday, August 10, 2026

Use Powerschool to see your schedule, attendance and grades – if you attended another SDUSD middle school, your ID and password are the same.  If you are new to San Diego Unified, you will receive help getting your login information at orientation or the first week of school.

Parents must use the Parent Portal to log in and complete annual enrollment tasks. If your parent needs help setting up their Parent Portal, please contact [email protected]

Powerschool is disabled during summer.

Canvas: Most teachers use the Canvas Learning Management System for coursework and curriculum. You will learn more about Canvas from your teachers.  The link to Canvas is https://sandiegounified.instructure.com/ and uses the same student id and password.
